Our Story

The creation of Indian By Nature in 2004 was brought on by a sheer lack of restaurants offering the traditional delicacies of India with a modern touch.

The need to bring to light the beauty and tastes of Indian cuisine inspired the creation of Indian By Nature which today provides the authentic taste and atmosphere of a family run Indian Restaurant in Pattaya in a world-class, fine dining setting. Indian By Nature focuses on Northern Indian cuisine with numerous contemporary influences and original creations, complemented by a wide selection of wines, home-made desserts and much more to discover!

Throughout the years Indian By Nature has been recognized by a long list of awards for its exceptional taste, quality and ambiance. After only one year of its opening it was enlisted in the Chaine des Rottiseurs, then went on to receive several Thailand Tattler’s Best Restaurants in Thailand awards, and has recently received TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award – one of only 10 restaurants in Thailand and of only 25 in Asia!.

With our main restaurant area, outside patio and Pattaya’s most eclectically stocked bar (look out for our Gin Trolley!), you can relax and enjoy a unique and innovative taste of India, whatever the occasion. Should there be a cause for celebration, our stylish Salon 1936 Private Dining Room (launched in 2017) offers the perfect combination of exclusivity and intimacy to host such events.

Our skillful and experienced specialist chefs allow us to create innovative dishes while staying true to the traditions of Indian methods. Our exceptional Head Chef and Indian By Nature Executive Chef, Av Khanijou, inspires the astonishing menu, showcasing the very best in modern Indian cuisine and has been mentioned in Reader’s Digest as “one of Asia’s upcoming Chefs in 2010”, upon the launch of her expansive cookbook “Confluence – The Indian By Nature Cookbook”.

For the real lovers of Indian cuisine, Chef Av also creates extraordinary monthly specials often taking inspiration from our seaside location to create the famous Kashmiri Fish and delightful crab Masala, delicacies that will most definitely leave you with a craving for more.

We don’t just offer fine dining and excellent cuisine, but of course compliment it all with a list of refined world wines, beers and spirits, topping it with an extensive collection of distinctive Gins, Digestifs and gourmet coffee alongside classic Indian masala chai.
